Kabooth Photo Booth & Event Hire In making a booking with Kabooth, you are deemed to have agreed to the following terms and conditions. Throughout these terms, Kabooth shall be referred to as ‘the company’. The person(s) or company paying for the equipment shall be referred to as the ‘client’.
1. Booking & Confirmation
1.1 Confirmation: Your booking is not confirmed until the company has received a non-refundable booking fee and confirmation has been sent to the client. 1.2 Agreement: By booking, it is deemed that the client has read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these terms. 1.3 Timing: If the company is delayed due to its own fault, it will operate for the full agreed hire duration. If setup is delayed due to unforeseen circumstances not the fault of the company (e.g., venue access, client delays), the hire will still end at the agreed finish time. 1.4 Unforeseen Absence: The company is not liable for failure to attend due to severe weather, traffic, vehicle breakdown, sickness, or equipment failure. In such instances, a full refund will be provided.
2. Prices, Booking Fees & Balance
2.1 Booking Fee: All hires are subject to a non-refundable booking fee of at least £50.00. 2.2 Balance: The remaining balance is due in full one calendar month before the event start date. 2.3 Overtime: If the operative is asked to run the equipment beyond the agreed time on the day, an extra charge will be payable immediately.
3. Site Locations, Facilities & Delivery
3.1 Technical Requirements: The client agrees to provide a minimum clear workspace of 2.5m x 2.5m for the equipment setup. The client shall also provide a dedicated and safe 240V power outlet within 5m of the setup area. 3.2 Floor Surface: The setup area must be a level, stable, and dry surface. The company reserves the right to refuse setup on unsuitable ground (e.g., uneven grass or damp areas). 3.3 Parking & Access: The client shall provide a suitable parking space for a large van within 50m of the venue. The route to the venue must be safe and free of obstacles. 3.4 Moving Equipment: Hired equipment will be set up in one location only and will not be moved once assembled. 3.5 Delivery & Radius: Delivery, assembly, dismantle, and collection are included within the package details when quoted. Any event outside of the agreed radius will incur a £0.45 per mile surcharge.
4. Connectivity & Digital Delivery
4.1 Wi-Fi & Social Sharing: Instant sharing is dependent on venue Wi-Fi. If no reliable Wi-Fi is available, all digital images/emails will be queued and sent once the equipment is connected to a stable network following the event. 4.2 Data Responsibility: Responsibility for the safety and backup of the data transfers to the Client once the USB/Digital media has been delivered. The Company is not liable for data loss or damage to the media once handed over.
5. Cancellations & Force Majeure
5.1 Cancellation Fees: Booking fees are non-refundable. Further liability is as follows:
- Cancellation between 60–22 days before the event: Client is liable for 50% of the total balance.
- Cancellation within 21 days of the event: Client is liable for 100% of the total balance. 5.2 Force Majeure:Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform due to “Acts of God” or extreme circumstances beyond reasonable control (e.g., national emergencies, venue destruction).
6. Conduct & Damage
6.1 Safety & Harassment: The company operates a zero-tolerance policy regarding physical or verbal harassment. Staff reserve the right to cease operation immediately if they feel threatened or if guest conduct endangers the equipment. No refund will be given. 6.2 Equipment Damage: The client agrees to cover the company for any damage or theft of the company’s equipment (including props) while on hire. 6.3 Admissions: The company reserves the right to refuse guest admission into the booth if they appear unruly or under the influence.
7. GDPR, Liability & Usage
7.1 Liability: The company accepts no liability for any damage/loss of personal property or injury arising from accident, neglect, or misuse of the hired equipment. 7.2 Storage: The company will store a backup of digital images for 12 months. Redelivery within this window is subject to an administration fee. 7.3 Model Release: The client warrants they have informed guests that a booth will be in use. The company may use images for promotional purposes (social media/print) unless otherwise agreed in writing.
