Up close and personal

How did you become a wedding Videographer?

We had our own wedding filmed thirty years ago and we have watched it hundreds of times. I wanted to create the same thing for other married couples. I have always carried a camera around with me since 16 years of age. I love filming things and taking photographs. Weddings are a fantastic event not just to attend but also to capture. Plus I love wedding cake!

What would you say can be the biggest challenge of the wedding day for you as the videographer?

There are so many things that happen only once on a couples wedding day. The vows, confetti throw, the smiles, the hugs and kisses. The biggest challenge is to capture as much as possible. That’s why I prefer to shoot with an extra camera operator. Less chance of missing something.

What makes White Oak stand out from its competitors?

We film and produce in 4K resolution. Our 4K USB footage looks AMAZING! We also edit our footage to the couples favourite music tracks which makes for a more personalised film.

How can couples go about booking your services? How far in advance should they book?

A fifty pounds deposit secures your chosen date. We do offer free home or video consultation which is really an informal chat. Book as far in advance as possible as we only film a certain number of weddings per month.

What advice would you give to those planning a wedding and looking to hire any Wedding Videographer?

Please, please capture your special day if possible. I hear that many couples say that they wished they wished they would have had their day filmed.

Is there anything that you’d like to mention about your services or the wedding hire process that many people may not consider?

Music choices is a big part of the booking process that couples often struggle with. It’s ideal if customers can give me a big list of songs. That way I can best match songs to suit the footage.

What has been your favourite moment of the wedding day?

There are so many but I do love to see the bride in her dress after getting ready and dad’s reaction. Also when the groom first sees his partner as they walk down the aisle.

We have been friends for a while and I’ve never seen you dance. What track would get you up on that dancefloor?

Abba’s Dancing Queen. Over the years I have perfected the art of dancing whilst filming. I love the first few dances after the married couple’s first dance!
